COURSE CONCEPTION
The Undergraduate Law Course, proposed by the Faculty of Baixo Parnaíba (FAP), is based on the National Curriculum Guidelines for the Law Course and Resolution No. 0304/2014 - Teaching, Research and Extension Council (CEPEX), of 31 January 2014. It constitutes a space for the analysis, production and socialization of legal knowledge articulated in the theory-practice interaction, which aims to train professionals who are ethical, critical and committed to the law that underlie the Rule of Law to in the light of teaching, scientific initiation and university extension, to act, with technical and political competence, in the realization of social justice and democratic issues under the current constitutional precepts of the country.

In this perspective, the Curricular Components of the referred course comprise the transdisciplinary and / or interdisciplinary knowledge that gathers, since the first semester, curricular contents, analysis of documents and problem situations, case studies, jurisprudence, planned visits, simulated jury, pieces procedural, based on theoretical studies carried out within the scope of vocational training axes.

In addition to these proposals contained in the curricular matrix to be experienced in the formative course in five years, the course will guarantee, with the Legal Practice Nucleus (NPF) - FAP, according to § 1 of article 7 of CNE / CES Resolution 9/2004, space for Supervised Curricular Internship, as Legal Practice, from the third semester, having, as an interface, the different themes of practical learning inside and outside the classroom. Thus, the experiential practice will enable the student to experience contents and procedures for observation and reflection of problem situations in contexts characteristic of the professional daily life of the Law operator. This entire academic experience will be recorded in reports.

There is an understanding that the curriculum adopted corresponds to the social function of the Faculty of Baixo Parnaíba (FAP), since its pedagogical project includes the concern and commitment to regional development, through educational programs and projects, extension and initiation to research, which respond to social demands, aiming at improving the life of the population of the Region where the subjects and the HEI act.

For these considerations, the Political-Pedagogical Project of the FAP Law Course was organized considering the principles defended in the mission of the HEI, and the provisions of art. 5 of Resolution No. 9/2004, which require a Curricular Organization integrating pedagogical content and activities to the three axes of professional training:
Fundamental Training Axis aims to integrate the student in the field, establishing the relations of Law with other areas of knowledge, encompassing, among others, studies that involve essential related contents on Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, Ethics, Philosophy, History, Psychology and Sociology integrated with the foundations of Legal Sciences;
Axis of Professional Training covering, in addition to the dogmatic focus, knowledge and application, observing the peculiarities of the different branches of Law, of any nature, systematically studied and contextualized, according to the evolution of the Science of Law and its application to social and economic changes , political and cultural aspects of Brazil and its international relations, specific to the field of Law, including, necessarily, among others consistent with the pedagogical project, essential contents on Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Tax Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Law Corporate Law, Labor Law, International Law and Procedural Law;
Axis of Practical Training aims at the transversal and interdisciplinary articulation between the practice and the theoretical contents developed in the other Axes, especially in the activities related to the Supervised Curricular Internship, Course Completion Work, Interdisciplinary Seminars and Complementary Academic Activities.

The subjects taught in the first 3 (three) semesters of the course are designed to develop a curricular matrix that emphasizes the humanistic foundations: “Citizenship, diversity and human rights”; “Language, logic and discourse”; “Legal Sociology and Anthropology”; “State Theory and Political Science”; “Regional economies, productive arrangements and markets”; “Society, environment and sustainability”; “Territory, borders and globalization” and “Education, society and citizenship”. Thus, in parallel and in dialogue with such disciplines, the student will study those that are more specific and focused on legal knowledge, such as: Civil Law I, Civil Law II, Constitutional Law I and Constitutional Law II.

It is noteworthy that in the first 4 (four) periods the student will participate in Interdisciplinary Seminars with themes interrelated to legal practice, such as Law and Citizenship, Justice and Citizenship, Crime and Society, Public and Private Relations Organization.
Consequently, the vision produced by and in interdisciplinarity will occur with the teaching of Constitutional Law and the studies supported in the Magna Carta, starting, for example, from the unique realities experienced by subjects living in Chapadinha and the contexts from which they originate.

As for the other semesters, the interactions between practices and theories, including those from the Social Sciences, will be worked in a forceful way and integrated mainly with those related to the Supervised Internship and the preparation of the Course Conclusion Papers.
